Another scandal hit the net yesterday as Out A Road published semi-nude pics of Ms Ting. The website reports that the artist along with Psycho Tanbad were in St. Maarten for a performance the night before.

Mavado is no longer signed to VP Records, the deal has been officially terminated. We are currently exploring the many options before us.
Manager Julian Griffith-Jones released this statement via twitter yesterday afternoon. Jones went on to speculate that there’s a strong possibility VP would not be releasing any artist albums after April.
Many artists and industry folks have been very vocal about VP Records and their “raping” of the dancehall market and artists. Many compilation albums have been put out without the knowledge of artists and as of late more and more artists have not returned to the record label after their contractual terms have been obligated.
So what does this mean for the Gully Gaad? Def Jam… Rock Nation? Could Mavado be the next artist in line to sign a major record deal with a US label? Could we be on the verge of a major release on the US market????
This is a big move for the artist… one that could very well take his career to another level if handled correctly. CHECK MATE!

I think Best of the Best is dancehall’s premiere concert series. It promotes dancehall to the masses and every year it continues to evolve and set the highest standard in that respect. It’s awesome to come back and perform for the holiday crowd this Memorial Day weekend.
Shaggy is excited to join this year’s incredible lineup, which includes Gucci Mane, Mavado, Serani, Bounty Killer, Baby Cham, Mr. Vegas, Anthony B, Demarco, Gyptian, Tony Matterhorn and the New Kingston Band, just to name a few, with more artists to be added in coming weeks. We will keep you posted as more artists are confirmed

Buju’s attorney’s appeared in court last Thursday for two preliminary hearings. “Team Banton” as his defense lawyers are now being referred to set the trial date for April 19th and filed a series of motions in an effort to collect more information from the prosecutor… mainly concerning their star witness the “confidential” informant.
This Is Buju Banton reports:
Here’s a few of the shocking details that were revealed about the still unnamed government snitch who set up the Reggae icon:
He transported over 2,000 kilos of cocaine and 3-4,000 kilos of marijuana between 1984 and 1993!
He was convicted in South Florida in 1993 of distributing cocaine in a case that brought a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years!
He has been paid 3.3 million dollars for helping law enforcement (DEA, Customs, FBI, Sarasota PDs) in numerous cases over several years!
He is a legal permanent resident of the United States from Colombia and was granted that immigration status only after law enforcement requested it!
He is paid on a contingency basis and looks to collect approximately $35,000 from the Banton case!
His credibility was called into question by one judge who doubted the truthfulness of his testimony in a case!
He is currently involved in a tax dispute with the IRS!
He has worked consistently with Assistant US Attorney James Preston, the prosecutor handling Banton’s case, for the last 10 years!
$3.3 million over several years?? Who know being an informant paid that much????
In the meantime, Gargamel Music is set to digitally release Buju’s single “Optimistic Soul” on March 23 with an accompanying music video shot days before his arrest.
